About Us
Scott Dugas Trucking & Excavating, Inc. has been a family-owned company since 1978. The company was started by Scott at the age of 21. Scott started with one B-Model Mack Truck hauling hot top for Blue Rock Industries. After one year he added a 580 Case Loader Backhoe. He then married and brought his wife, Pam, into the business to do the bookkeeping.
The next year, a friend sold him a D-2 CAT Bulldozer that he could pay for as he went. At that point he started doing small excavating jobs (Alan, his brother, worked with him for about a year until he went on to take over the family boatyard business). In the coming years more trucks and equipment were added, leading to his own shop. Eventually gravel pits were added, along with crushers and screening plants; thus allowing the company to grow to what it is today.
We now employ between 25-40 employees. We do small and large site work projects primarily in Cumberland, southern Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties. We also have a large snowplowing clientele. The company has a low-bed service which is licensed in six states. The company has a full maintenance facility that is capable of all types of repairs; welding, painting, and heavy and light duty mechanical repairs. We can also utilize our GPS system for complex building and utility layout.
We offer FREE estimates and all our work is 100% guaranteed. Our philosophy is total customer satisfaction. The job must be done to the customers' satisfaction or we will make it right.
We believe every employee is valuable. We pride ourselves in our great workforce, quality work, well maintained equipment, and teamwork. Some employees have been working at Scott Dugas Trucking & Excavating more than 20 years. Without our employees, all of this would not have been possible.
